Locating printer parts

Hey guys. I have a Brother printer that has a bad stepper motor controlling the scanner. The part number is:

M35SP-11NK

I've sent an email to Brother and am waiting until normal business hours for their reply, but I tried searching the web and had zero luck. There was one place that claimed to have it in stock, but once I attempted to place the order, they said they no longer carry that part. Any help would be appreciated

have you even tried searching via google? usually google finds at least a few results for most searches. If not you may very well have to wait until tomorrow.

Yea I tried searching the net with zero luck.. Brother stated they don't carry those and referred me to dealers within my area, but they don't carry them either.. I even went as far as contacting the manufacture of the motor itself in Japan, but have yet to hear back.I can't believe how hard it is to track these down.

Confused1, if your device is more than a few years old, you will have a nearly impossible time finding parts because companies would prefer to sell you a new device. You may have to consider an identical used donor unit to cannibalize for parts.
