Hi.

I've dowloaded a file from Internet in the default folder. When I Cut and Paste the file in the folder I need, the icon of the file shows a locker. What does this means? How can I prevent this?

Thanks in advance.

A locker? or a lock? lock means it cant be opened either because it is owned by someone else, or is from another OS.

Solution dont download files from the internet

I believe the lock icon overlay in windows 7 designates permissions. When a lock icon appears in a folder, it means that the folder can only be accessed by you or another administrator on the computer. A standard user would be prompted for a username and password. If it bothers you, you could probably change the permissions on that folder to get ride of it. Just be careful what you do or you could lock yourself out.
