Solved Log in screen

I've got Windows set to automatically log in to a standard user account, bypassing the log in screen. When I am booting in order to do some admin tasks, is there a way to make it show the log in screen so I can choose the admin account?

Why don't you try disabling it of automatically logging in to a standard account?

I only need to do tasks in admin account once or twice a month.

Hello Vince,

You should be able to use Switch User while in the standard account to be able to log in to the administrator account as needed.

I do use Switch User if the computer is already on. But if the computer is off, I have to let it boot into the standard account, then Switch User, ends up being time consuming. I seem to remember years ago I read there was a key combination to press when Windows starts that brings up the login screen even if Windows is set to automatically log in to an account. I've tried searching with Google but I can't seem to find the right search terms. Thanks

Normally you could press and hold the Shift key during boot to bypass automatic login.
