After doing a backup my pc (win7 ultimate x64) I'm having login issues with my yahoo account.
I get the following error message : "Something went wrong. We could not sign you in.Try again from a different device."
And a button Go to help.
In other computer with win10 I have no issues to login to my account.
I tryied to transfer Firefox yahoo cookies from win10 to win7 to see if I can fix the problem but still remains.
I checked the time and date on my win7 and its fine. Also I checked the TLS version on Device Manager-Internet Options-Advanced menu and the TLS 1.0 , TLS 1.1 , TLS 1.2 are all checked.
The fail login issue appears in both Firefox (v115.30.0esr) and Brave (v1.47.186 Chromium 109.0.5414.119) browsers so I believe is not browser issue.
I talk to yahoo support with no luck.
Can anyone help to find what causes this issue?

---edit---
I finally fix the problem. For anyone with similar problem , the cause was outdated java and webview2

Funny I don't have java installed and I have no problems logging in. I suspect your issue was with corrupted cache or cookies. If not please share the exact steps of resolution for others.

Maybe was webview2 and not java.I'm not sure.
As I said I was trying to restore my pc from an older backup image with Acronis. All things working perferct except this issue with yahoo account login.I then install the ProtonVPN and the installation process was stuck with a message that webview2 was missing and could not proceed and java was outdated.First thing I thought was that these two must be related with the yahoo isuue also.So I download the webview2 from web and java update and the installation ended successfully. Then first thing I did was to check with my browser for another time if I can login to my yahoo account and I did! So either webview2 either java solve the problem. Not sure which one or both did the work.

Most home users don't need java (not javascript which really isn't installed but comes built into the browser). Only specialty web apps require it. Some other apps might require it. IMO if you don't need it get rid of it. Also you should uncheck at least tls 1.0. It's outdated and insecure.
