I have downloaded the Windows 7 Release Candidate and I enjoy it. However, I cannot seem to find Logitech QuickCam 4000 drivers that are compatible. Can anyone help me?

hnim, welcome to the forums. Glad you like Seven.

Try the Vista drivers, they usually work.

Here is the only fix I found after hours of reading and trial and error:

Go to logitech driver downloads, for me it was vista 64 bit (since there are none for my new win 7 64bit OS).
http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/435/269&cl=us,en?softwareid=3515&osid=13

Follow these instructions:

Install the latest Logitech software for the camera as recommended on the site. ***This fails to find the camera, an error msg comes up saying "not compatible", but fear not!***
Unplug the cam and plug it into a different usb port (so Windows picks up the device, bringing up a new search for driver box).
Allow windows to search the web or "Windows update to Search for a Driver"

After windows updates the driver from this screen the cam works fine.

Ha ha, Welcome to Vista 7!!
