Hello everyone. First post on here.

So I got an AOC i2757fh monitor with 2 hdmi ports. So I have my computer on one and my xbox one on the other. Then I got a pair of Logitech z506 speakers since the speakers on the monitor aren't that good.

So I have the green audio cable plugged in the back of the monitor to the box. And the speakers at times have static coming out of them while playing something. Or when I watched a movie on my xbox one, you could hear the static in their voices.

I read to connect it to a ipod or something like that to see if it would play fine and that it wasn't a cord issue. So I gave that a shot and it worked fine. So is there something like an equalizer or something I can get to without plugging them into my computer? Or another way to stop it from having static coming out while it is playing something? I already check the monitor's menu to see if there was something in there and there wasn't.

If you need any more info, just comment and I will give you an answer. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Do you get the noise with the built in speakers? As the monitor is apparently converting the audio, the built in speakers are OK then the problem is internal in the monitor, not the PC.

BTW, when you use HDMI, the HDMI audio is generated in the Video card, not the PC's sound chip.

I do not get the static from the monitor's speakers.

I looked at the manual for this unit and nothing about the audio other than it mentions the analog audio jack. As the speakers work OK on other devices and the internal speakers on the monitor work OK, with the HDMI from the PC, the problem would appear to be internal in the monitor, in the conversion from digital to analog for the audio.
