logon background changed but not working

hi guys. as per title, ive tried ALL the steps here ; http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/5382-log-screen-change.html the changes are said to be successful according to the softwares, but when i tested by restarting or ctrl+alt+del, it doesnt work; the logon background is still the standard windows blue wallpaper. ive tried sfc scannow, everything went back to default(ive installed custom theme, custom start orb), tried again changing the logon background, still same result. its been hours now. am really frustrated.

What program did you use in the tutorial?

What kind of custom theme did you install, and how did you install your it? This could be part of the issue.

i used all 3 methods; the 2 softwares and manual registry edit method. i installed a theme from creativex by the-bull, after doing the 3 systems file patch.

The only thing I can think of is that something with the custom theme is preventing the log on screen from being applied. My guess is that it may have something to do with what was modified.
