Up until this morning my laptop was all working fine. I'm using Windows 7 64bit. This morning (and several times since) i turned on the computer and it went to the login screen as usual. I am the only person using the computer so the only option is to logon to mine. When i type in my password it says welcome for a split second and then says...
The User Profile Service service failed the logon.
User profile cannot be loaded.

The only option is to press ok and it just sends you back to the login screen. I would realy appreciate some help with this issue but desperately don't want to have to do a system reboot as i would lose all of my music, videos etc (which has happened once before on this laptop).

Thanks in advance.

can you start in Safe Mode - your manual should tell you how to do it..?

this may allow you to access the user accounts to examine them for any problems..
