hello
looking for some help here on changing the logon screen each time i logon.
here's what i put together

echo off
move C:\Windows\System32\oobe\info\backgrounds\backgroundDefault.jpg C:\Windows\System32\oobe\info\backgrounds\1

move C:\Windows\System32\oobe\info\backgrounds\3\backgroundDefault.jpg C:\Windows\System32\oobe\info\backgrounds

move C:\Windows\System32\oobe\info\backgrounds\2\backgroundDefault.jpg C:\Windows\System32\oobe\info\backgrounds\3

move C:\Windows\System32\oobe\info\backgrounds\1\backgroundDefault.jpg C:\Windows\System32\oobe\info\backgrounds\2

is there a easier way of doing this ?

it kindof depends on your definition of easier, i do it by putting the background i want in I:\windows\system32\oobe\info\backgrounds then the file name is backgroundDefault.jpg, but i only was able to achieve this after making a change in the registry, i don't know if this makes it any easier, but it works really easily for me. plus i made a shortcut to it so i dont have to navigat those files everytime.

what i'm doing is making the logon screen change each time i logon. the text lines
are from a batch file i made and put it in the start menu so it changes each time.
it works fine the way i have it setup so i guess i'll just leave it the way it is..

I was going to do it basically like you by moving the background picture, but decided to store 12 pictures in the folder and just have a script do a rename that is run by task scheduler. At some point I might think of another way to do it and try that but I like the rename way for now. To each his own way on the path... :p
