Looking for a "network access sentry" program

I'd like to find a prog that would inform me when someone accesses or copies data on my computer from the LAN or WAN. Like a popup window that says "Computer X on your network is accessing files on your hard drive".

Exists in reality or dreamland?

Um, software firewall? will tell you whenever, and prevent them unless you allow it

What firewall software do you recommend that will do that?
Does it report activity visually and in real time, or just as a log?

XP has a monitoring graphic in it's network window, but it only counts packets coming in and going out. I saw that someone is working on an emulation of that for W7, but neither does what I was curious about.

There are so many add-ons and programs out there that do everything but brush your teeth. I'm just trolling to see if anyone knows of something like this, preferably a nice little freeware prog that works in the background like Speedfan.
