There is another way to change the skin of WMP, i even do have Transparent try creating an account in creativx.net it is cool site with a lot of customize theme. Speaking of WMP skin.. by changing the wmploc.dll of it. Try googling around and you'll find solutions using also Resource Hacker. Go to deviantart.com and search for "WMP skins" . Try also Zune Player : Zune Music + Video | Zune.net

thanks rigz, i too use mr grims themes and have my wmp skinned ,the issue for me with this one is the background blends from black to red, in the black area i cant see the titles for the albums unless i scroll it to the red

I like winapm. not sure if its layout is going to be what your after but it comes with a lot of pre-sets to chance the colour
