Looking for programs that will restore Desktop Icon positions

Sometimes, my Desktop Icons get mixed up - and I don't have a lot of space left on my Desktop. I do have many Icons on the Desktop and I like where I have placed them. I have a program that will restore their position - but it doesn't work too well. It is finicky and sometime takes several tries to get the Icons back where they belong. I am looking for alternatives programs to experiment with. Thank you.

Have you ever tried organizing your desktop by creating folders and just placing the shortcuts there? It might be better

Thank you - and, yes, I have. However, the individual Icon approach seems to work better for me. FYI: I DO have some of my Icons consolidated in folders.
