I would call or email Samsung and ask them if they have any beta Windows 7 drivers. Maybe you could test them for Samsung.

This printer can be installed in Windows 7 (x64, in my case). The .exe installer does not work, as it does an operating system check and doesn't recognize the OS. However, the .exe is just an executable archive file. It can be unzipped into a directory. Then, from the Devices and Printers section of the Control Panel, right click on the printer and click "Update Driver Software". Navigate your way to the directory where you unzipped the driver files to, and Windows should take care of the rest.

Alternatively, I believe the installer program will likely be successful if you run it in Compatibility Mode and select one of the Windows Vista versions as the OS to be emulated. (I just tried starting the installer this way, which worked; I didn't complete the install because my printer is already installed).

Universal Printer Driver works just fine.
1. Plug your printer and wait until Windows says it can't find driver.
2. Setup Samsung UPD
3. Search for appropriate driver for printer Samsung ML-1710P. And it'll find Samsung UPD and set it up - works fine for me.

Both the Samsung UPD and the GDI diver files do not work for me. I am using the Win 7 64-bit RTM version.
