Looking for technical "how to's"

Hi
I have been working on PC's for 5 plus years and I have seen many STOP errors but very little information on how to diagnose them.
As you can see, I have also come to these forums for help.
Online research has helped me very little in solving these problems.

Surely, there are textbooks and white papers to help further my knowledge.
Please advise.
