Media Player Classic with CoreAVC + ffdshow works great for HD rips, meaning 720p or 1080p MKV files encoded with x264. Is this what you mean, or are you talking about playing proper Blu-ray through your computer into your tv?

i ran ffdshow with media center on vista, and it worked great on my 26" monitor connected via HDMI. i have not tried those videos or ffdshow on 7 yet, but 7 does HDTV through MCE whereas vista does not, so im sure videos would work too.

^^ Agree with the above with the note that the 'Deluxe' version doesn't support Blu-ray. 'PowerDVD Ultra' does and version 9 comes highly recommended as the best HD/Blu-ray player out there. That is, until Orion get their act together...

XMP is the best. It is as versatile and user-friendly as KMP, but at the same time much better than the latter when it comes to media that are critically resource-demanding, like HD videos, mtc, mkv files etc. It is especially true when your system resources are in the tight.

Try again. If the video doesn't show up then stop and restart.

Does the video show up then?
