Looking for Useful Chrome Extensions

(for those of you who recall my Opera thread)

I've decided to test out Chrome and it is extremely efficient and quick. Inside of a night I fell in love with it. However, this is linked to my other thread about the "best of both worlds" for my current browser, Opera, and it is not as "free" as I find Opera to be in terms of basic preference modifications.

This time, I'm wondering if any of you know of any good extensions for Chrome. I'm not sure if im' looking in the wrong place for extensions or if my search terms on the chrome extensions website are incorrect, but I basically want:

-a side-panel toolbar similar to Opera

-a notepad extension similar in nature to Opera

-search bar directly on the interface next to the URL bar like other browsers

-the browser to not close out when I close the last tab

I've scoured all over that site for extensions just curious of anyone here knows off-hand what they themselves would recommend I get since I've near given up.

The first can not be done, since Chrome uses the Omnibar for all that anyway, the second one I'm not sure of, I don't think there's anyway (yet) to prevent it from closing, maybe in a future update?

This is one that A Guy put me onto, i chose not to use the Bit Defender scanner (i would use that at your own risk i would imagine it could cause conflicts with your own protection)
