Looking to update my graphics card

is my computer, it's weak link by modern standards is the GTX460 NVidia card. I'd like to upgrade the card, but I know too little about hardware to know what will fit, and what might conflict with what.

Any suggestions as to what card would give me my best bang along with the current configuration?

The biggest limiting factor is your PSU.

That said, you have a 460W. The new Nvidia GTX 960 would be fine on that.

The only other possible issue would be space inside the case. You need to measure the maximum space you have for a new card.
