Solved lost all programs listings

Hi:
I have lost all my list in the all programs in the start button and wated to know if you have found or know of a better way to solve this issue other than a repair install.

Fixed it!

Hey I just had the same issue and fixed it. Just go to C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs folder and move all of these items out of that folder into a temporary folder on your desktop and your start menu will populate with the default entries. Then move them back and your good to go! Hope this helps someone else!

It works temporarily. Once you reboot the All Programs menu is once again empty! Good effort though lakero! Maybe this will inspire someone to find a permanent solution.

I haven't rebooted yet, but that's certainly the fix prior to the reboot. Thanks! I'll reboot shortly and report (I don't reboot very often).

Yes, the reboot removed all the programs again. <sigh>
