Run msconfig.exe via start button/run box, once it loads check the Services/Startup Tabs, uncheck offending app(s) to prevent them from running on a reboot.
I use a tool called WinPatrol instead with many more features, but allows disabling programs on boot up with ease also as part of it's kit.
