Lost folder

Okay here's the problem-I have a user that has office10 and he said he was moving e-mails to a folder then all of a sudden he lost the folder. Now it's not apst folder because I searched but when I do a search in Windows 7 for one of the e-mails it will say the e-mail is in outlook but I can't seem to find the folder they are in. Can someone please help me with this?

Just to be clear, your user has Office XP / Office 2002 installed and while "moving" emails in Outlook 2002 he "lost" the folder - is this correct?

As your search for an email says it is in Outlook, my best guess is the target folder was moved and may be located as a subfolder under another. Expand out all folders and see if it's "hiding" in the folder tree.

Sorry I meant right click on the e-mail in your search results and left click Show conversation which opens e-mail up and shows which folders it's in.:D
