Yesterday after applying custom icons, I lost all the icons for all Office programs and pds. I have deleted the iconcache, set program defaults, tried "open with". I tried a system restore to the time before changing the library icons but it wouldn't do anything, it stayed on the "initializing" screen for nearly half an hour before I rebooted the PC. I did it twice with the same result. I'll try again later. I also tried repairing Office a number of times but it fails every time. I get a message telling me that Office repair did not complete and have to reboot.
Apart from trying the system restore again, is there anything else I could try?
