I have a new customer who has forgotten his password to the server. He is running Server 2003. Any way to get in without a complete reinstall?

OS
Windows 7
There are tools out there for that sort of thing. But I cannot provide any more info on that.

In short, I don't believe there is a way. I don't suppose he had a password hint?

I think it is his own PC that he can't get into!

That's my understanding, too. He is SOL and up a creek.

My friend had the same problem and all i did was type in administor and it let me in and then he reset his password.
Also there is another way and that is put his hard drive as a slave into his friend computer and it may let him in that way to alter his password 75% out of !00% it does work or if not then looks like a complete reinstalll

That would work if Administrator is NOT disabled and there is no password to it...

Usually people forget about that Built in Admin account...
I agree with HTC try that first..

He wouldn't be able to get the password, but he'd be able to copy his files over to another drive.
