Hi All,

I play games in DOSBox 0.74, MAME64, and the occasional Windows 7 PC game, and I was looking for a recommendation on low cost game controllers (joystick or integrated controller).

Any suggestions from the hard core gamers here?

How "low cost" do you mean? A wired Windows 7 360 controller is only around £18-20 and that's a very good controller to use on PC. I've used it with PC games and emulators.

i really would go with a wired xbox 360 controller, as GFW are becoming more and more common you can't go wrong with one... especially as most pc games have functionality with 360 controllers out of box. the ones with GFW tag(games for windows) are a given to have it standard.

yeah the xbox controller has always been a favourite, I still have in the shed somewhere an original xbox controller thats been chopped up and soldered onto a USB-A jack. This was fun before the 360 came out with USB standard. there were (and still are) hacked drivers available for that in XP, you could run those drivers in test mode on windows 7 but i'm just reminissing.... 360 controller for the win!
