These are my pc specs:
4G ram 400MHzx2 (800MHz)
Intel Core 2 QUAD CPU [email protected] GHz(4CPUs), ~2.5GHz
878 GB HD 7200 rpm (with system on it)
862 GB HDD 7200 rpm (storage, games, movies, no OS system on it)
NVIDIA GeForce 9500 GT (2 cards)
Asus P5N-D motherboard 1333/1066MHz

All drivers are up to date
I am getting slow fps in games like the Witcher, Real Myst, Kane & Lynch, etc. Even world of warcraft gives me 10-20(at the most)fps. So what is going on?
I play on a monitor 1680x1050 (32bit) (59GHz)

I am in high performance with my power profile and as for startups, I only have the minimal for my pc to run. I cancel unnecessary programs when I play games.

How do I use the CPUID tp check the timing of my ram and cpu specs?

My Computer

OS
Windows Ultimate 7 64 bit
CPUID will have tabs for each of the components.

First page will have the CPU and specs and in lower left the actual running speed of the CPU cores and the FSB.

The second tab is for motherboard and

I think the third tab will have the info on your RAM. What each stick is, the speed it is running and the timings for the RAM should be listed.

If you want, post Screenshots of the tabs and we will see if anything looks wrong. Others on here can advise on how to change timings if they need to be changed. < This is done in the BIOS

Also, post the GPU-Z screens too. The system might not be utilizing both Cards.

Also, look through Sygnus's tutorial. He put a lot of info in there that can be checked. One thing that is overlooked a lot is the Direct X. You need to update the older Direct X versions as well as the newest one.

Edit: lol sorry Sygnus, spelled your name wrong... Great Tut btw.

Game manufacturers ought to be required to list the minimum hardware necessary to play at a variety of max settings and at least 60 FPS at a variety of native resolutions, and if no such hardware exists, to say so

I'd like to say thanks to everyone taking the time to helping figure out what's going loopy in my system, and hopefully we can get to the bottom of it:)

Run WoW in windowed mode and see what the CPU speed gets to. (this way the CPU will continue at full speed when you look at CPUID)

you should get 60fps in wow with max settings with this setup. I don't know about the GPU as I have a different one, but you still would get way higher than 10-20fps...

I also see that in your screenshot from GPU-Z, SLI is disabled. you said in your first post that you had 2 graphics cards. you should be running them in SLI. Something is not set up right. This might be changeable in the Nvidia control panel.

I have the same board only with a E8400 and Speed Step is what CPUID is reporting.
It's a a good idea to follow Thorsons suggestion about Wow.
Also you need to go into Nvidia control panel and enable SLI as suggested already.
Then see how your system preforms. Fabe

See if you have Power Gear Hybrid since your board is an Asus. I don't know if you will have this, but the setting in here might be set back in CPU max processing speed. (you might also have Extreme turbo mode for OC'ing)
