Low FPS in WoW after upgrading to 7

After upgrading from XP to 7 I've noticed big frame rate drops in WoW. With XP I consistently saw 45-60 fps in raids, and while frapsing I was able to get 30+. Now I'm getting 25 in combat and <10 fps if I try to fraps.

I've got what seems to be the most recent driver for my video card, and my system now has an extra gig of RAM (went from 3 to 4) after upgrading. I have my video settings as low as possible in game, which I did not have to do in XP to achieve reasonable frame rates. Any help is much appreciated.

Sorry, I assumed the device manager would give me the proper driver version. Checking the driver version through ATI's CCC gives me the proper version, which is the driver in the link you provided.

No worries, update your driver - then update the thread about the performance, OK ;) ?

I had the updated version all along (and I knew it when you linked to the lenovo site because I used that download to install my current driver), the device manager just wasn't showing me that I had it, which is why it appeared I didn't have an up to date one when you asked what version my driver was.

Once I realized I already had that driver I decided to check the catalyst control center to see if it showed me the correct version number for my driver, which it did. For redundancy's sake my current driver version according to the CCC is 8.641.1.1-090824a-089811C, which matches the link.

Hmm, the driver in my link was released in 2009/10/13, which is newer than yours... Weird... Wanna try manual update?

Yeah I'm not sure why my device manager gives the data it does. How do I do a manual update?

Extract the installer, look for an .inf file in there, usually only one... Through device manager, right click the device you want to update, click update driver software -> browse my computer for driver software -> Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer-> click "Have disk" button, point to the .inf file extracted from ATi installer... It then will update your driver.
