Low FPS

Hi,i have 4GB ram,for which its usage is 30% for background applications.
When i was playing games such as sleeping dogs,systems physical memory is ascended to 70-80%,due to which game's frame rate is slowing down and cpu speed in increasing.
How to minimise physical memory to minimum such that i can dedicate maximum amount of ram memory to my game.

Hard to say if the bottleneck comes from the GPU or CPU w/o knowing your laptop specs... or at the very least the model of that lenovo.

You should check the Minimum requirements for that game to see if you surpass it with your laptop, then update your drivers (video and Audio the correct way), disable anything (processes) you have running in the background that don't need to be open at the moment... things like windows defender, searchindexer, Anything Adobe, msn messenger, skype, toolbars, etc, etc.

4gb of ram isnt really a lot, even when not gaming, windows will hog about 2gb, your game will use xxx and then the rest is probably shared with your integrated graphics.. net result.. you need more ram, and or to play less intensive games.

to minimise the amount windows uses, you could turn aero off, set windows theme to basic, remove all applications from the start up list (from with in msconfig), as wells close all non essential programs in the back ground.

you only have 1.28gb of free ra which games will use most of causing windows to slow to a crawl. theres no mention of a dedicated gpu so more will go to that. the virtual memory is just windows allocated space for page indexing.

Mr.Badger 906,i had dedicated 1GB GPU of AMD radeon HD 6370M Graphics,with above defined sys configuration. Config is mentioned in above thread.
How can i make my games faster,is there any methods,please suggest....

theres not much you can really do without spending money.

first click start, type run, then in the box type msconfig and press enter.

click on the startup tab, and untick everything non essential, you can get rid of almost everything bar virus scanners.

this will free up as much ram as possible at startup. also right clicking on desktop and clicking customise then theme and the windows basic, will free up more ram, but windows wont look to pretty, think 1998 lol.

apart from that theres not much you can do. core i3 processors arent particularly strong especially when it comes to games. and 6360m again isnt a spectacularly effecient gpu.

laptops arent designed for games unless advertised for gaming, so its mostly a case of comprimise, lowering game resolution and setting all setting to low as well as turning off AA and post AA ect.

if possible upgrading to 6 or 8 gb or ram will help (8gb preferably as it will be dual channel).

that will allow games to run a little smoother.

go on RAM Memory Upgrade: Dell, Mac, Apple, HP, Compaq. USB drives, SSD at Crucial.com and use the system scanner

i tried looking for you but the model number 20079 throws up a few, i think yours maybe an ideapad g625, but the system scanner will tell you whats what.

Mr Badger,crucial scan details are shown below.
My laptop is of G570 series but crucial scan is showing it as G470.Its showing upgradable memory as 8gb.
Any Suggestions??
