Hello shahi, and welcome to Sevenforums

:info: Highlighted light blue words are links to the resources of which I describe

Perhaps it is Kaspersky that is causing the memory error by using up all memory of your computer. I recommend using a more lightweight and well made antivirus such as MSE. Kaspersky isn't all that good of an antivirus. If you do take my advice and want to remove it, use its tool in order to remove it completely.

You didn't get the whole performance monitor picture, you only got the first 7 o.0

You might consider running Malwarebytes as well, as it can be coupled well with MSE and can act as an extra shield of protection. Please update your antivirus software (and malwarebytes, if you install it), and run it (run malwarebytes seperately if you install it).

Here you go.I have posted the Performance monitor chart. Thanks for the quick reply. And I thought KIS was one of the best in AV for not gobbling up memory. My physical memoory usage is 54%.How much would a normal running PC take.

Shahir,

It appears that Kaspersky isn't too bad an antivirus, but a few have complained about its memory usage. I've not heard much on it which may mean it is far from the best, as I am constantly hearing what people like best.

Did you want to try out Malwarebytes to test for malware or no? I only say this because I was getting worried you might have a virus. However, know that this program won't help the situation any, other than to act as an extra shield to spot malware.

At this moment, Kaspersky is taking up most of your memory, and firefox is second. If you like them, keep them. But they are a huge memory hog. I would suggest using IE9, and would even go as far as to say I personally like it better than firefox, and have used them both. Up to you though.

Is the computer actually having any problems, or is it just a bit slow? You can buy more memory if it is in your budget, but otherwise, you may have to cut out the memory hogs on your own.

Not everything hogs memory, but the less you have, the more memory resources you will gain. You have a lot of little things that add up. Try following that tutorial I gave you earlier, and I'll even give it again. Things you can do to increase performance in optimizing windows 7. It lists removing programs that you don't want or need as a good way to speed things up. And I think it would be a good idea to at least check and see if there is anything you wouldn't mind getting rid of.

Let me know if I can help you with anything, including uninstallation, or whatever you need.

You have a 64 bit OS which requires more memory. 3-4 GBs should make it run rather well. I'm guessing you have 2GB. Also, make sure you have all windows updates installed and all drivers. Here is the HP website with the drivers for your computer (double check to make sure it is the correct computer): Hp Drivers

The problem is that an error pops up saying low memory and I need to close some programs. Also while playing vlc or YouTube videos ,there would be a random screech of sound for about 5 secs or something and it goes back to normal. My friends laptop had the same screeching noise and freeze the computer.he had to then hold power button and restart .

Shahir,

Be very careful when using Ccleaner. I would recommend not, but again it is up to you. If you don't know much about the registry, you should know that tampering with it could render your computer unstable and/or unusable. It is the best I've seen, but it still has its flaws. Be careful

And is there any reason you use VLC? Windows media player can play whatever you need it to, no problem, and flash player does everything you need online. If you like it better, that is fine, but It is one of those "not needed" programs.

Is the screeching coming from the speakers or computer?

Shahir,

Type "Memory" into the Start Search Bar, and click the program that displays at the top. Schedule a test and click both options for the next restart. then restart.

HDD tests are a little harder. You might have to look one up online
