Hello, I have an Intel 320 Series 80GB Solid State Drive. The advertised speeds are the following:
Sustained Sequential ReadUp to 270 MB/s Sustained Sequential WriteUp to 90 MB/sI'm only getting around 190 MB/s Read and about 80 MB/s Write. I know i would get lower than advertised but not this low. Anybody have any suggestions? I already have enabled AHCI in the BIOS and done all my OS tweaking.

I'll try that program but I'm not worried because it still gets a 7.5 on the WEI so you know? not really something to worry about. BTW whats your WEI?

At the moment it's at 7.7 for the SSD but that's only because I did a clean install of windows the other day. Usually after a few weeks it drops to 7.6/7.5 after I clog it up a bit.

Edit, actually think that may be an old pic from when I had my HD5850 graphics card.

Just re-ran the test and my SSD is now 7.6 so gone down already!

Those scores look fine to me, and where they should be. Pefectly normal & nothing to worry about :)

I think the key phrase here is "up to". It doesnt mean it'll average that speed.

But, it doesn't really matter either. We are talking about Sequential Read/Writes scores, which mean very little to nothing for the OS.
Look at your 4K speeds, as thats what really counts. Far more so than the sequentials.
