I have one Sound Blaster Audigy 2 Value

Ok, I read that it's a driver problem.
But, I already tried both drivers available to my card, the one official from Sound Blaster (SBAX_PCDRV_LB_2_18_0011.exe) and the one from Daniel_K (Audigy_SupportPack_2_0.exe) and same low volume problem.

Still the sound is very low. Yes, everything is on maximum and the 'Communications' tab is on 'Do nothing'

Please, someone, help me :)

I'm using Windows 7 RTM.

The bolded bit sure sounds like what you are describing.

Have you configured the speakers in windows? I was having problems with movie sound until I set to DVD quality.

Yes that one threw me off for a minute also, I put a movie in and no sound at all so I figured that was the one to play with, i'm not sure why it's not on DVD quality by default. Thanks for the rep.

Sure you can do that, I'm sure a bunch of other people are having that problem because the sound isn't set to DVD quality by default for some reason.

It's not a "microsoft" problem - it's a SoundBlaster issue. Microsoft doesn't (or doesn't have to) make the OS work with SoundBlaster's, SoundBlaster must make their hardware/drivers work with whatever it's installed on.

No it isn't. According to marinildac's specs he is using onboard sound, and I know Jacee is as well.

marinildac if you didn't also try the "16 bit, 44100 Hz" setting.
