m.<website> problem

I've been trying to get to www.lge.com.au and www.racv.com.au for sometime now. Everytime I try I get redirected to m.<website>. Eg m.lge.com.au, which by the cutdown size of it might be for mobile devices, yet I'm using a desktop PC.

Any idea why does this happens?

No problem on either site for me here in the UK. I see that Golden also has a problem accessing them, albeit his problem is different to yours. Could it be a geographical problem, seeing as you both come from Australia and presumably use an Australian ISP? It would be interesting to see if any other Australians have the same problem - I'll just ask someone to check.

Both can be readily accessed here in Victoria.

ISP issues? Have you tried using an alternative DNS server other than that provided by your ISP?

ROFL.... I haven't moved yet. I am moving on the 22nd.

I've had this problem for about 8 months, on cable. With 3 different routers. And with different DNS servers, eg 10.4.4.4, OpenDNS and Optu$'s default DNS servers.

This happens on my PC only. My XP server is fine, as are my sons computers, and the PC's attached to the various plasma TVs.

My guess, it's something wrong with my PC

So I guess sooner or later I'm going to be asked what the differences in the PCs are. Hardware wise, they are all identical except for aftermarket coolers.

Software wise, I have ffdshow, DVDFAB, AnyDVD and AVISynth on my PC, whereas they have mostly games. Runescape, CSS, GMOD, etc. They use MSN Live, I do not. I use Outlook for mail, they use yahoo! Mail. Apart from that, we have a core of standard applications.

I have disabled homegroup on all computers. The list of Windows services is the same - since I deliberately configured them all the same.

That's good. Then there must be a problem with my windows.

But doing this fixed it..

First Optimize the Ie 8:

1. Open Internet Explorer 8.
2. Click Tools , and then click Internet Options .
3. Click the Advanced tab.
4. Under Reset Internet Explorer Settings , click Reset .

1. Open Internet Explorer 8.
2. Click Tools , and then click Internet Options .
3. Click the Security tab.
4. Click Reset all zones to default level , and then click OK .

Open Internet Explorer 8.

1. Click Tools , and then click Delete Browsing History .
2. In Delete Browsing History , click Delete All .
3. Click to select the Also delete files and settings stored by add-ons check box, and then click OK .
