MAC Address Spoofing

I had problems with spoofing my mac address on Windows 7022, but eventually somehow(I have no idea how) it eventually worked. I upgraded to 7068, and it will not change.

I've tried everything, registry keys, programs, everything.

I have a Linksys WUSB600N Wireless-N USB Network adapter with Dual-Band v2.

What can I do?

In the device manager, go to your adapter. Right click on it, choose properties. There then should be an advanced tab with network address choice. Fill in what you want there. If you don't have this, your driver doesn't support it. There then may be a 3rd party driver for you adapter.

My driver doesn't support it, yet I've changed it before? How does that work out?

Not sure. Maybe you did a windows update and it put a version of the driver that can't do it. Only a guess.

Here's the driver from the linksys page...but it doesn't say for which o.s. I'm guessing it's for XP/Vista in one. Vista verson should work well...then see what's up.

Here's another way to try:

Open regedit. Click your way to and then on HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class

Then hit ctrl+f, type "network address" without the quotation marks.

This should bring you to your adapter key. Mine is
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E972-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}\0007\Ndi\params\NetworkAddress for reference, but yours may be different.

In the right pane should now be a string value called "default" with a value of 000000000000. If not, create it and then change the 000000000000 to what you want instead.

Reset the network card adapter by disable and enable the card from windows Network Connections control panel or device manager.
Use IpConfig /all windows command to verify the new network card MAC address.
