Mac OSX Snow Leopard - GOLD RTM

With regards to running OSX on VMWare...it's usually a hacked copy that you have to get on the Net to install. And you have to have certain hardware to run this hacked copy. You cannot activate it or otherwise update it since it's hacked. And once you get it running, it's slow as molasses. I've used Leopard in VMWare recently and it was a solid 5 minute boot time. And once running, things didn't improve much at all.

I'm actually curious about using OSX and learning a bit about it...so I'm just waiting for the final few parts to building my Hackintosh. I'm going to use the EFI-X dongle ($240) to present the apple EFI environment and then can take a standard OSX disc that I buy from Apple for $129 and install on my PC (Granted, it's only compatible with certain gigabyte and DFI mobos, and certain video cards...but I bought all of my recent hardware with this playground in mind). Here is the article from Maximum PC magazine which caught my interest on this. How to Build Your Own Hackintosh | Maximum PC.

A coworker of mine uses this and he says it runs fantastic. Far faster than any MAC he has used, for about 1/3 of the price of a MAC desktop.

Do you have a link or other source of information where I can read more? I've got my retail copy of OSX Leopard...I'm still waiting on the EFI-X module to arrive...so maybe I can try this out again in VMWare.
