Trying to clone SSD "c" drive to another SSD (clean).
On completion > shut down PC > unplug original c drive > reboot with only newly cloned C > opens with bios screen (instead of Win 7).
I'm a bit rusty with this stuff. Tips pointers and suggestions welcome.

I couldn't do a "clone", either with Macrium or the cloning program supplied with a new Samsung SSD. I had to image the old drive (all partitions) to a separate drive and then "restore" from the created image to the new SSD.
One of our software "guru's" did some testing with Macrium and several other cloning programs and found out it was a hit or miss.
His suggestion was to use the image rather than clone.
One other comment on clone. When you "clone" you copy all sectors on the old drive including bad sectors and sectors with "bad" data. When you do an image you do not copy the bad sectors or data.

Otherwise I've used system images to transfer installs to a newer ssd a few times now.
Just create the recovery WinPE cd or flash drive you'd boot too and restore the image and point it to the new ssd.
