The Macrium Reflect freeware programme version 8 was updated this last week. The version number I now have is 8.0.7167.
This was accompanied with a comment from Paramount Software UK (authors, publishers) to the effect that the freeware version of Macrium Reflect has reached the end of the road - it is to be discontinued from now. There will be security patches until January 2024 but no further updated programme features.
Obviously the programme will continue to work as it does now anyway. It's a very useful backup/restore utility and the fact that it has been freeware for quite a few years has been very cheering. For those interested, downloading the most recent, and last, update for installation now seems like a good idea.
