Well my computer has been very slow lately and I feel I have a virus. My anti virus showed nothing and I became very frustrated even more when I lost like 4gb of RAM off my computer some how? so I felt it was a good Idea to mess with the permissions in my hard drive so that if there was a virus it couldn't get into my system. Stupid me I locked my self out of it instead LOL. so basically I cant do anything on my computer besides install and run programs that don't require Admin Rights. So how do I get passed this my windows folder is locked from me including files and programs in it?

Might I suggest a memtest - as mentioned some RAM has been lost and maybe even the second suggestion
1.

MEMTEST

http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/105647-ram-test-memtest86.htmlthis one you will need to make a bootable disk set the BIOSto optical (or USB if preferred) boot the machine and let it run for at LEAST 8 passes unless the errors come upstraight away. Takes a fair time to complete and some leave it runningovernight.

If you do get errors and have morethan one stick then you will need to test each one separately and maybe even inthe separate slots.

2.

RESCUE AV BOOT SCAN

Go to here 5Bootable AntiVirus Rescue CD for Windows: Free Download and usefully the Kaspersky one is ok > make a bootable diskor USB stick set the BIOS to boot from what drive you are going to use an itwill run through the machine from the very start of power on. It would pick upanything that is lurking in or around the registry at least.
