Magnetic Plastic RAM

I am probably not going to get any reply's on this, but a few years ago I saw a show (I think it was either the discovery channel or the history) but they were talking about how they were trying to create magnetic plastic RAM that they could dye with a blue light and it would be more efficient than the RAM we now use. Anyone else catch that or know of any articles that I can read about it? Hope you do!

I heard about that a few years ago too. Though nothing seemed to come of it. Wouldn't really me RAM though if it was magnetic, as it could keep whatever's stored on it after the PC has been turned off.
