Magnify Part of Screen Permanently?

I like the Windows gadgets, but many of them are too darn small for me to use (like most of the CPU meters). Are there any programs that will let you magnify certain parts of the screen permanently? Thanks!

Hi Ken - No, that won't work, unless I'm mistaken. "Docked" refers to the magnifier window, but what's in the window changes to wherever you move your cursor.

Well you could use the program I use.It is a paid version although you can get a trial version.It is for the visually impaired or blind.But anyone can use it.It will do exactly what you are looking for and a whole lot more.I shut off the speech portion and you can get just the magnifier program without the speech.

I plan to have my gadgets on my second monitor, so I may just end up changing the resolution.

I like the idea of a second monitor for gadgets,I may do that myself since I like to keep my screen free of all icons,only because I can only view a small portion of the screen at one time,I tried the cpu & ram monitor,liked it although it only shows one cpu.

I have two icons showing on my desktop,recycle & ZoomText,

A second screen would come in handy for gadgets,,good idea,thanks.

There are free magnifying apps out there that may do what you want although I can't recommend any since I don't use them,'cept for my ZoomText.I have looked at other mag. apps just to see what they offered,so I know they are available.

You still may come across what you are looking for.

Yeah, a second monitor is great. I have all my gadgets on it, and I have a macro that will hide them all so I can see my wallpaper, since I also like to use the second monitor as kind of a "picture frame". There are so many cool, beautiful wallpapers out there, so I can keep all my main apps on my primary monitor and use the other for that. Another use is some apps are hard to read on my primary monitor, so I set the second one to a lower resolution so the text is easier to read for those particular apps.

Well here is something you might want to consider for your second monitor,you could download the google photo screensaver and you can have it display all your wallpaper plus RSS feeds the support rrs picture feeds,as I do ,from deviantArt,and other photo sites.You can set it to pan and zoom effect,and control the length of time the wallpaper is on the screen before it changes.It slowly pans in and out on that setting and is a great effect.I get just the particular size wallpalper RSS feeds that I need,of the kind that I like.Or you just have it dislay all your photos or just your wallpaper,if you have it in a wallpaper folder.

You have to download a google bundle,I chose just picasa since it comes with picasa even though I never use the picasa,you could probably remove picasa once you have the google screensaver set up,if you so desired.

It makes a great looking picture frame.
You know you can take an old laptop,turn the screen around so it lays flat,mount it in a picture frame box and put it on the wall and hook it up to your computer to display wallpaper or anything else you want displayed.
