Mahjong Titans tiles highlighting without mouse cursor over them

I have had tiles in Mahjong Titans highlight without the mouse cursor being placed over them. Does anyone know how this happens?

I had the same issue, I think you pressed Shift, Control or Alt key while switching windows..
