Main and Subfolder Rename

I am having a employees data base in folders with their ID and name i.e. 1234 - John Adam. inside the folder also there are 5 more folders which have the name 1234 - Leave, 1234 - Absent Report, 1234 - CV 1234 - Certificates, 1234 - Others.

Now I want to change only the employees IDs of main and subfolders. i.e. 1234 will become 0001 and subfolder also the same. Please advise any easy way.

Not sure if you can rename folder and sub folder, but I have used http://freecommander.com/en/summary/
to change file names. It's a powerful file manager.
