In Windows 7 is this 256-color palette corrpution bug which is caused by EXPLORER.EXE program. In this bug colors are transformed in some strange psychedelia experiment
. Does this bug have been reported to Microsoft or not because this is really annoying problem
?
Somebody have fixed this by killing EXPLORER.EXE with command line utility.
In windows 7 and steel panthers they use code like this:
@echo off
@echo ================================================
@echo NCrawler's SPWAW Windows 7 color fix
@echo ================================================
@echo This fix closes explorer.exe, waits until it is closed and then launches SPWAW
@echo off
taskkill /f /IM explorer.exe
mech.exe
Start explorer.exe
There is a problem in this code. When I use Taskmanager I see that MECH.EXE process is still running.
Another question:
Where is RUN button in windows 7 like in Windows XP?
