Make changes to your system

On my notebook (other specs than in profile) with windows 7 64 home I updated my photo programme Nikonview and later another programme. Both programmes show a message in German (I have a German system) if I want to allow the programmes to make changes to my system, this also happens when I start the programme as administrator. I have run Malwarebytes and regularly MSE and nothing was found.

When I allow the programmes to open, they function without a problem.

What could have caused this problem?

Ask at the programs website - it may be normal for them.

Thank you. It never did before, started after the update. And yes, I googled first.

I clicked on properties and compatability and it stopped behaving like that, but Malwarebytes persists in this behaviour (was a fresh install and the certificate is accepted). Strange. They both have the administrator symbol on the desktop icon.

If you have a German system, you very often get the German version of a product that would be in English in e.g. the US. I have observed that very often on my systems in Germany. The same is true if they detect that you have a German IP address - even if you have a US Operating System version of the system.

Thanks again for answering. I live in the Netherlands, but I always buy my computers and software in Germany. I de-installed Malwarebytes, since I primarily use the notebook for photoediting and internet, I do not need strong protection (no critical data on board or online banking).
Will give it another try later. When de-installing Malwarebytes the administrator shield on the photo software disappeared too. The downloads were from the official websites. A scan with MSE and online Trendmicro Housecall came back clean.

For such standard programs you might want to download from this website ( FileHippo.com - Download Free Software ). This is a very safe website and they have most everything. If it is not on the list, just search for it with their search field. maybe you have more luck there.
