make tray ico light up when internet data transfers like XP?

I don't know if it's my setup of if windows 7 is just not capable of this. But one thing i really miss is how the internet tray icon in previous windows versions would light up when data was being up or downloaded. Is the icon in 7 not capable of this or is there a setting where i can turn it on?

No such thing exists in Windows itself - not sure if there's a 3rd party tool to bring it back.
