OneDrive aspires to be the one place where you store everything in your life, including all of your photos, and we’ve been working hard to make that experience even better. Today we have three updates to that will make it easier for you to enjoy your photos on Xbox One, on Windows Phone, and at OneDrive.com.
New photo views on OneDrive for Xbox One
We launched OneDrive for Xbox so you and your family could view and enjoy all of your photos and videos right from the biggest screen in your house, your TV. And beginning with the updates that are starting to rollout today, we’ve made it even easier to sit back and relive your memories.
First, you will no longer need an Xbox Live Gold Subscription to use OneDrive for Xbox. This change will hit consoles soon as part of the June Update.
Second, we’ve made it faster to get to the photos that you’re looking for. As soon as you say, “Xbox, Go to OneDrive” and launch the app, you’ll see your most recent photos.
Want to see your pictures from across all your folders – just like the “All Photos” view at OneDrive.com – organized automatically by time and date? Just select “more” and a timeline of your photos will pop right up.
From here, you can quickly jump from month-to-month to find exactly what you’re looking for. And once you do, start a slide show and enjoy!
Windows Phone 8.1 update: Auto upload of high-res photos
The latest Nokia smartphones – like the Lumia 1520 – take awesome photos. With the new Windows Phone 8.1 update coming to more and more devices, these high-resolution photos are now automatically backed up to OneDrive and available to you on whatever other devices you use, wherever you go.
