If enabled shows stuff like "stopping services" "preparing desktop" in the middle where it would normally just show logging on or shutting down.

But my PC is so fast most of the middle stuff happens very quickly and it's not possible to see

This may look like a cosmetic reason but it's actually a bit more important since if the PC hangs in the middle I can at least see the whole process that has been done up to that, instead of just seeing where it hanged in the shutdown/logon process.

Stuff like transferring files from network or disks normally hanged win XP when you tried to logoff and shutdown so it continued to transfer, not a real hang, maybe more of a safety feature, but I haven't tried it yet with win7.

I just want these messages to instead of disappearing just be bumped one line up and "OK" appeared when they do so, so it would be like "stopping services ... OK"

Perhaps if there is already a way to modify these without hacking explorer may prove helpful for verbose as well.
