Making Win Live Mail work with Yahoo

I have been trying to get my Win Live Mail play nice with Yahoo. I went on line and found some adjustments that put my Yahoo in Hotmail. Now my Yahoo does not receive email but instead they are forwarded to Yahoo in the Win Live Hot Mail. I've noticed that several people are blaming Yahoo. At any rate, I would like to have yahoo be separate from Win Live. However, My primary server is yahoo and when I try to send messages from Win 7, I get an error (socket error 10060) saying unable to send or receive message for Yahoo(my acct). So how to fix so that I can send pictures on Win live email and keep my yahoo account separate?
