Add 'Links' to StartMenu
I've just discovered how to move a folder in DOS.
Before this, if I renamed the 'Favorites' folder (in users dir) to something else, explorer would indicate the change, BUT a DIR cmd hinted that the DIR was not being renamed?!?!
in cmd @ C:\users\[username] you should see your userfolders, including an IE Favorites folder, called Favorites, not to be confused with the Favorites navpane entry, which is the Links folder.
Start menu properties lets you set a menu for Favorites (IE), and you can make it a menu...
By moving the (IE)Favorites folder (whilst in your userfolder @ cmd)
You can now create a symboliclink to the 'Links' folder
Now, your startmenu points to your real Favorites
This can, in theory, be applied to ANY situation.. I'm hoping to recycle unused Video/RecordedTV entries to make something useful.. if I think of anything I'll add another post here!
