Malicious Software Tool?

This just showed up as an 'important' update. I have it un-checked for now. Is there any reason to download this? The description sez it only updates itself once a month and that it 'reports' (not fixes) if anything malicious is found. I already run Avast! in real-time, plus Defender and MalwareBytes on demand. Do I REALLY need another 'tool' from MS added into my current mix?

Would appreciate hearing from those who are familiar/have used this...

THANKS!

It is important though not critical. It helps MS to keep the virus dinitions etc up to date.

You can just download it, and let it run. Never had a problem with it.

It is really not installing another tool. It runs and then goes away until the next on. I would let it run and I do.
