Hi, I am very good about updating superAnti Spyware and regulalry scan. I also have avast installed.

My website was recently hacked into and I cannot understand how that happened. Everythign points to my computer having a keystroke logger - is it possible for such a program to be installed with spyware NOT being able to pick it up:?

Is there a keystoke logger that people recommend?

Thanks

If you have a key logger it will steal you passwords. If I though I had a key logger I would after removing it and replace all my passwords. Does any body else have access to your computer. Also get/update/run Malwarebytes Anti Malware free on demand. Yes keylogger can be bought as a program and install. That is why the question, anyone have access to your computer. Yes you can also get them on line. You can get a key logger from any ware. On line, flash drives and big time from torrents sites. Many good anti virus programs should stop such things, but things can be missed. What kind of anti virus program do you use?
Please get back to us for more help if you need to. We have people here that are very good at this kind of problem.

As Layback Bear suggested go to Malwarebytes and download the free version. Run a full scan to see what you get. Malwarebytes will most likely detect a keylogger (one of the best anti-malware programs.)

Hello!

You talked about Keyloggers. This makes me think that you think that you admin password for your website has been compromised. This makes me think that maybe you have login pages, and therefore scripts on your website.

If this is the case, it is quite possible that your website had a security vulnerability in it which was exploited. Maybe a cross site scripting vulnerability or SQL injection.

If you wrote any scripts yourself, then the likelihood goes up. However, there are other ways.

What we really need is more information. Who hosts this website (just as the excellent Jacee asked above)? Or is it more of a blogspot type website? Why do you think that your website has been infected?

Thanks a lot!

Richard
