"Malware Protection Live" Suddenly Installed Yesterday- How to Remove?

I noticed a 'check mark' icon in my system tray and on investigating it is a program called "Malware Protection Live". It just suddenly was there...It shows up in Control Panel > Programs and Features and it appears I could uninstall it there....It says it was installed yesterday, but I have no recollection of installing anything yesterday.

I'm running Norton Security with a current subscription and all Windows Updates are / have been in place.

I planned to upgrade to Windows 10 tomorrow while I'm working from home on my laptop, but I'd like to get this dealt with. Any help appreciated.

Thanks!

How did Malware Protection Live install on your machine? Unless you downloaded it directly from their web site, it was probably bundled with some other download that you installed recently. Bundling means that software is included in other software’s installers. When first found Malware Protection Live, was bundled with CNET’s Download.com installer

Thanks for the info and advice. I ran ADW Cleaner and it would appear that it removed the malware program.
If there are any other scans you suggest running before I embark on my upgrade to Win 10, please let me know.

(BTW I've made an image of my C: drive with Acronis True Image 2015 in case I need to pretend Win 10 didn;t happen- although I'm pretty impressed with how the upgrade went on my HP Envy Beats laptop, but in that case I did a fresh Win & Home Prem install first then upgraded.)

Thanks Bear, for the recommendation on adwCleaner and Malwarebytes. Removed that crap right away. It must have come when I downloaded Vuze. I was careful to make sure none of the "extra" riders were checked, but it had to come from that.

Your very welcome.

Sometimes when you choose not to take the added B/S you will still get the B/S.

What I do is make a note of all the extra B/S offered, then when done I check my system and look for all the things I didn't want.

I would not even go to the Cnet site let alone download something from the Cnet site.
