Win 7-64 also Vista. AV - Kaspersky 2014 (auto update).

Each time I run Malwarebites I have following log entry:-

Registry Keys Detected: 1
HKCU\Software\Google\Chrome\Extensions\pflphaooapbgpeakohlggbpidpppgdff (PUP.Optional.MySearchDial.A) -> Quarantined and deleted successfully.

Files Detected: 1
C:\Users\Sellick\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Local Storage\chrome-extension_pflphaooapbgpeakohlggbpidpppgdff_0.localstorage (PUP.Optional.FunMoods.A) -> Quarantined and deleted successfully.

Would appear something that Google Chrome is implementing. Strange this as I do not use Chrome only IE10.

Maybe stick to Bing:confused:

They are little goodies that normally come from things that you downloaded but not always. When you download you must read all the things that might come with it.
I will bet if you do a deep search you will find something Chrome or Google in your system. A toolbar or something.

A PUP (potentially unwanted program) is a program that may be unwanted, such as spyware, despite the possibility that users consented to download it.

These are Chrome Extensions that are being flagged as Potential Unwanted Programs (PUP), not Chrome itself (I use Chrome and its never flagged by Malwarebytes).

Open Chrome and uninstall all extensions (add-ons), then re-scan again:

Type chrome://extensions in the Chrome address bar and hit enter to see the list of extensions installed.
